About the Role
Elementary school seeking a Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. Develop IEPs, modify curriculum, and collaborate with general education staff. Serve as case manager for 12-15 students.
Responsibilities
- Create individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Adapt lesson plans for varying ability levels
- Monitor student progress through data collection
- Coordinate with speech, OT, and behavioral therapists
- Lead quarterly IEP review meetings
- Maintain compliance with state special education regulations
Requirements
- Valid state Special Education certification (K-12)
- BA/BS in Special Education or related field
- Experience with autism spectrum disorders preferred
- Knowledge of ABA principles
- CPI or safety care certification
- Ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs
