About the Role
Seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate patient care at our Austin rehabilitation center. You’ll assist registered nurses with daily patient needs and help maintain a therapeutic environment. This entry-level position offers training and growth opportunities in healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, and eating
- Measure vital signs including blood pressure and temperature
- Turn and reposition bedridden patients to prevent pressure sores
- Report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Document patient care information accurately
- Transport patients safely to appointments or procedures
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Requirements
- CNA certification from state-approved program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift and move patients (50+ lbs)
- Compassionate communication skills
- Basic computer literacy
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent
