About the Role
Join, fabricate, and repair various metals using welding techniques. Ensure high-quality welds and follow safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications
- Set up and operate welding machinery and equipment
- Weld together metal parts or fill holes to fabricate or repair products
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working order
- Inspect finished welds to ensure quality and accuracy
- Work with various metal types and thicknesses
- Collaborate with other team members on project timelines
- Follow all safety and quality standards
Requirements
- Completion of a welding apprenticeship program
- Certification in specific welding techniques
- Experience with welding machinery and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Physical stamina to work in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of welding safety protocols
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
