About the Role
Lead the development of scalable cloud-based applications for a fast-growing fintech startup. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement high-performance systems. Make critical architecture decisions to drive product innovation and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain microservices using Java and Spring Boot
- Optimize backend systems for low-latency financial transactions
- Design RESTful APIs and integrate third-party payment gateways
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews
- Implement AWS cloud infrastructure via Terraform
- Improve system monitoring with Prometheus/Grafana
- Drive DevOps practices using Jenkins and Docker
Requirements
- 7+ years professional software development experience
- Expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and SQL databases
- Proven track record with distributed systems design
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture (AWS/GCP)
- Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
