About the Role
Develop machine learning models to transform financial risk assessment. Lead NLP research initiatives and deploy production AI systems that analyze loan portfolios. Your work will influence $50B+ in lending decisions annually.
Responsibilities
- Develop ensemble models for creditworthiness prediction
- Lead team in testing/tuning NLP algorithms
- Design A/B testing frameworks for model validation
- Create data pipelines with Spark/Snowflake
- Present insights to executive stakeholders
- Mentor junior data scientists
- Ensure regulatory compliance (Fair Lending/ECOA)
Requirements
- PhD or MS in Statistics/ML with 7+ years experience
- Expert Python skills (PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, Pandas)
- Proven NLP deployment in financial services
- Advanced SQL and big data architecture knowledge
- Experience with model explainability techniques
- Publications in ML conferences/journals preferred
- SEC/FINRA compliance familiarity
