About the Role
Seattle Public Library seeks a part-time Library Assistant to support branch operations. Duties include checking out materials, assisting patrons with technology, and organizing community programs.
Responsibilities
- Process book loans/returns
- Help patrons use computers/printers
- Shelve books accurately
- Assist with children’s storytime
- Manage inventory of periodicals
- Promote library e-resources
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent
- 1+ years library experience
- Familiarity with library software
- Customer service skills
- Ability to bend/reach shelves
- Passion for literacy
