About the Role
Join the outreach team at Sunshine Initiative as a Public Relations Specialist to promote our advocacy and fundraising initiatives. You’ll use compelling storytelling and media outreach to raise awareness of our mission.
Responsibilities
- Write press releases and media kits for upcoming events
- Coordinate interviews and media appearances for our team
- Maintain relationships with local and national media
- Develop social media content calendars and analytics
- Assist with event planning and community engagement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications or PR
- 2-4 years experience in non-profit or cause-related PR
- Proficiency in social media management and analytics
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
