About the Role
Support students with special needs in an inclusive elementary school setting. Work closely with teachers to implement IEP goals, provide individualized assistance, and create positive learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Assist with academic instruction
- Support behavioral interventions
- Help with personal care needs
- Implement IEP accommodations
- Document student progress
- Collaborate with teaching staff
- Maintain confidentiality
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent
- Paraeducator certification (or ability to obtain)
- Experience with special needs students
- Patience and compassion
- Ability to follow instructions
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Clear background check
