About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our team at Sunshine Elementary. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for students in grades K-5. You will be responsible for developing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and collaborating with parents and staff to foster academic and social growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans in line with state standards
- Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative evaluations
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance
- Participate in professional development and staff meetings
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school community
- Organize and supervise classroom activities and field trips
- Maintain accurate student records and reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- State teaching certification for elementary education
- Prior teaching experience preferred
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Proficiency in using educational technology
