About the Role
Sunrise School District seeks a passionate Special Education Teacher to join our inclusive learning community. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IEPs
- Adapt general curriculum for special needs
- Track and report student progress
- Collaborate with support staff
- Maintain classroom behavior plans
- Communicate with parents/guardians
- Attend IEP meetings
- Participate in professional development
Requirements
- Valid state teaching certification
- Special Education endorsement
- BA/BS in Education or related field
- Understanding of IEP process
- Experience with diverse learners
- Classroom management skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Patience and empathy
