About the Role
Support student success as a Special Education Teacher Assistant working with children with diverse learning needs. This rewarding position helps implement IEPs and provides individualized attention to students in classroom settings.
Responsibilities
- Assist teacher with lesson implementation
- Provide one-on-one student support
- Supervise students during non-instructional time
- Help maintain classroom organization
- Document student progress
- Assist with personal care needs
- Support behavior intervention plans
- Attend staff meetings/trainings
Requirements
- High school diploma (AA degree preferred)
- 1+ year experience with special needs
- Patience and compassion
- Ability to follow instructions
- Basic computer literacy
- Physical ability to assist students
- Clear background check
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
