About the Role
Support our executive chef and culinary team as a Sous Chef at Gourmet Haven Restaurant. You’ll help create memorable dining experiences by preparing exceptional dishes, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring a smooth service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to Executive Chef’s recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards
- Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock rotation
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and timely food delivery
- Assist with menu planning, costing, and recipe development
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or relevant culinary training
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a comparable role (2+ years)
- Strong culinary skills and creativity in menu development
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
