About the Role
Bright Horizons Academy seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. You’ll develop IEPs, collaborate with staff, and create inclusive classroom environments. Ideal candidates are passionate about equity in education.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans
- Adapt curriculum for diverse learning styles
- Maintain communication with parents/guardians
- Assess student progress quarterly
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals and therapists
- Attend IEP meetings
Requirements
- Valid state teaching certification
- Bachelor’s in Special Education
- 2+ years classroom experience
- Knowledge of ADA compliance
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Strong behavioral management skills
