About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. The role involves creating and implementing IEPs, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and promoting inclusive education.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents to support student learning
- Use various assessment tools to evaluate students’ progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Provide instruction in academic subjects, life skills, and social skills
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local special education regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with special needs
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
