About the Role
Support classroom teachers in educating 2nd-grade students at Lincoln Elementary. Provide individual and small group instruction assistance while maintaining a positive learning environment. Help implement lesson plans and manage classroom activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teacher with classroom instruction
- Provide one-on-one support to students with learning challenges
- Prepare teaching materials and classroom displays
- Supervise students during lunch and recess periods
- Track student progress and maintain records
- Assist with implementing individualized education plans
- Communicate with parents about student development
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree in education preferred
- 1+ year experience working with children
- Ability to pass background check
- Basic classroom technology proficiency
- Strong communication skills
- Patience and adaptability in dynamic environments
