About the Role
Greenwood High School is seeking a dedicated High School Math Teacher to inspire students and deliver effective mathematics instruction. The role involves creating a positive learning environment, adapting teaching methods to diverse student needs, and promoting academic excellence.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver instruction in alignment with state and district curriculum standards
- Assess student performance and provide regular feedback to students and parents
- Collaborate with other teachers and administrative staff to create a cohesive educational experience
- Integrate technology into the classroom to enhance learning opportunities
- Encourage student participation in extracurricular math activities and competitions
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive classroom environment
- Keep detailed records of student progress and maintain accurate attendance reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field
- State certification or authorization to teach math at the high school level
- Strong content knowledge and ability to deliver effective instruction
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Ability to manage a classroom and maintain discipline
- Content knowledge and enthusiasm for mathematics
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
