About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Elementary School Teaching Assistant to support teachers in classroom activities and student learning. The assistant will help with lesson preparation, student supervision, and administrative tasks. This role is critical for creating a supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in preparing and implementing lesson plans
- Supervise students and maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Provide individual and small group instruction to students as needed
- Help with administrative tasks such as grading and record-keeping
- Support teachers in managing classroom behavior and discipline
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress
- Participate in professional development activities
- Collaborate with other teaching assistants and educators
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in childcare or education (preferred but not required)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work with diverse student populations
- Must pass background check and drug screen
- Familiarity with educational technology
