About the Role
As a Junior Financial Analyst at CapitalOne Financial, you will be a critical member of our finance team, providing quantitative and qualitative analysis to support corporate strategy. You’ll work closely with senior analysts to gather data, build financial models, and present insights that drive business decisions. Ideal candidates will have a strong analytical background and ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly.
Responsibilities
- Gather and synthesize financial data from internal/external sources
- Build complex Excel-based financial models
- Support quarterly budget forecasting processes
- Conduct variance analysis and identify trends
- Assist in preparing monthly management reports
- Assist with ad-hoc project work as requested
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Data Analysis)
- Strong quantitative and data analysis skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with ERP/accounting software considered a plus
