About the Role
Support production efficiency at Columbia Manufacturing by managing inventory planning and procurement operations. Coordinate with production scheduling, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure material flow optimization.
Responsibilities
- Generate purchase requisitions and manage purchase orders
- Monitor inventory levels and advise on consumption patterns
- Coordinate material receipts against production schedules
- Identify cost reduction and supplier consolidation opportunities
- Maintain accurate system records using ERP software
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve material issues
- Analyze material requirements forecasting accuracy
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Supply Chain or related field
- 2-3 years experience in manufacturing planning
- Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
- APICS certification preferred
