About the Role
Collaborate with physical therapists to provide care to patients recovering from injury or illness. Assist in therapeutic exercises and modalities.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment
- Document patient progress and report to physical therapist
- Perform clerical tasks such as scheduling and phone calls
- Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assisting or related field
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in NY
- CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
