About the Role
Lead teacher position for our pre-K classroom implementing play-based curriculum. You’ll create lesson plans, assess development, and build relationships with families in our NAEYC-accredited center.
Responsibilities
- Develop weekly lesson plans aligned with state early learning standards
- Supervise assistant teachers in daily activities
- Conduct developmental assessments twice yearly
- Maintain individual portfolios for 15 students
- Create inclusive classroom environments
- Communicate daily with parents
- Ensure compliance with DCF licensing regulations
Requirements
- Associate degree in ECE (BA preferred)
- State teaching license
- 2+ years lead teacher experience
- Familiarity with Creative Curriculum
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Background check clearance
- Physical ability to engage with preschoolers
