About the Role
Maintain city parks, sports fields, and recreational facilities ensuring clean, safe environments for community enjoyment. Perform grounds keeping, minor repairs, and equipment maintenance throughout the park district.
Responsibilities
- Mow, trim, and landscape park areas
- Maintain athletic fields for events
- Perform playground equipment inspections
- Operate light trucks and tractors
- Install and repair park signage/furniture
- Remove litter and empty trash receptacles
- Assist with seasonal decorations
- Prepare facilities for special events
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
- 1+ years grounds maintenance experience
- Ability to operate power equipment
- Basic carpentry and repair skills
- Physical ability for outdoor labor
- Pre-employment drug screening
- Available for emergency response
- Resident within district boundaries
