About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. You’ll develop individualized education plans and modify curriculum to help students achieve academic success while fostering social-emotional growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop IEPs for students
- Modify general education curriculum
- Track student progress
- Collaborate with support staff
- Communicate with parents
- Maintain student records
- Attend IEP meetings
- Implement behavioral strategies
Requirements
- State teaching certification
- Special Ed endorsement
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2+ years classroom experience
- Patience and empathy
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of special education laws
- Ability to differentiate instruction
