Job Description
About the Role
Provide emergency medical services, including assessment, treatment, and transportation of patients with acute illnesses or injuries. Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure patient care is delivered efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients to determine the extent of injury or illness.
- Administer appropriate medical treatment.
- Transport patients safely to healthcare facilities.
- Perform CPR, administer medications, and use medical equipment.
- Document patient care and report to medical centers.
- Collaborate with fire departments and law enforcement agencies.
- Maintain and operate medical vehicles and equipment.
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs.
Requirements
- Certification as a Paramedic or EMT-B.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of experience in emergency medical services.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- PALS certifications are a plus.
- Strong decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move patients and equipment.
- Ability to work under pressure and stressful conditions.
