About the Role
Efficiently handle checkout operations in our high-traffic supermarket serving 1,500+ customers weekly. Ensure accuracy in transactions and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a clean and orderly checkout environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers and self-checkout kiosks
- Bag groceries and assist customers with loading
- Accept payments through cash, card and digital payment options
- Issue digital coupons and reward program benefits
- Monitor lanes for customer assistance and self-service navigation
- Monitor price accuracy across all registers
- Maintain sanitation standards in front-end area
- Communicate with other departments to resolve pricing discrepancies
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age available to work 20+ hours weekly
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic math and financial skills
- Previous cashier experience preferred
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail
- Must pass background check
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including evenings/weekends
