About the Role
Support special education students by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs). Collaborate with teachers to create inclusive learning environments. Assist with student behavior management and provide one-on-one support.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Assistant teachers in classroom management and activities
- Provide one-on-one and group support to special education students
- Assist with behavioral interventions as required
- Record and document student progress and behavior
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student support plans
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Special education paraprofessional certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of special education practices
- Ability to work with diverse student populations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to assist students with mobility needs
