About the Role
Join the team at Harmony Medical Group as a dedicated Medical Assistant. You’ll assist physicians with patient care while performing clinical tasks that support our community’s health needs. Your compassion and organizational skills create positive experiences for patients and doctors alike.
Responsibilities
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical instruments
- Collect patient medical histories and vital signs data
- Assist physicians with patient examinations as directed
- Perform diagnostic tests (ECGs, phlebotomy) under supervision
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Administer immunizations and patient education materials
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical practices
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited medical assisting program
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office and EHR systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
- Physical ability to perform required tasks (bending, standing)
