About the Role
Support classroom operations and student learning in a diverse K-5 environment. Work closely with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide individualized attention to students. Help create an inclusive atmosphere that fosters academic and social growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teacher with classroom management and instruction
- Provide one-on-one support for students with learning differences
- Prepare educational materials and maintain classroom organization
- Supervise students during recess, lunch, and field trips
- Document student progress and behavioral observations
- Communicate regularly with parents and teachers
Requirements
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience working with children in educational settings
- Ability to pass background check and fingerprint clearance
- Patience and adaptability in dynamic classroom environments
- Basic understanding of child development principles
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
