Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. The RN will provide direct patient care, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in our fast-paced medical-surgical unit.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Administer prescribed medications accurately
- Implement care plans and evaluate patient progress
- Respond to patient emergencies and code situations
- Educate patients and their families on health management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care
- Ensure a clean and safe patient environment
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement projects
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
- At least 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
- Physical stamina and ability to lift patients safely
