About the Role
Greenvale Academy seeks an enthusiastic Elementary School Teacher to foster academic growth in a diverse K-5 classroom. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, collaborating with parents, and supporting students’ social-emotional development.
Responsibilities
- Develop differentiated lesson plans aligned with state standards
- Conduct formative and summative assessments
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement
- Attend IEP meetings for students with special needs
- Coordinate with paraprofessionals and specialists
- Lead parent-teacher conferences quarterly
- Organize classroom volunteer programs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education
- State teaching certification (K-6)
- 2+ years classroom experience preferred
- Proficiency with Google Classroom
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Knowledge of Lucy Calkins reading curriculum
- Background check clearance
