About the Role
Denver Public Schools seeks an enthusiastic Elementary School Teacher to foster a nurturing learning environment for K-5 students. You will develop lesson plans aligned with state standards, assess student progress, and collaborate with staff and parents. This role directly impacts young learners’ academic and social growth.
Responsibilities
- Create engaging lesson plans in core subjects
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure safety
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences
- Administer standardized tests
- Differentiate instruction for diverse learners
- Participate in professional development workshops
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education
- Valid Colorado teaching license
- 1+ years classroom experience (student teaching accepted)
- Knowledge of Common Core standards
- Strong communication skills
- Background check clearance
