About the Role
Support lead teachers in creating a positive learning environment for K-5 students. Assist with instruction, classroom management, and student supervision to enhance educational experiences. Help implement lesson plans and foster academic growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
- Provide individual and small group instructional support
- Supervise students during recess, lunch, and field trips
- Help maintain classroom organization and learning materials
- Track student progress and assist with grading
- Support special education students as needed
- Communicate with parents regarding student performance
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- State teaching assistant certification
- Ability to pass background check and fingerprinting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer proficiency (Google Suite, MS Office)
