Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver curriculum-aligned biology lessons
- Facilitate student-led classroom discussions
- Grade assignments and provide constructive feedback
- Prepare students for standardized tests and college applications
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development
- Supervise clubs and after-school activities
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Biology or related field
- State teaching certification or eligibility for reciprocity
- Experience with differentiated instruction techniques
- Strong background in biological sciences
- Effective communication and classroom management skills
- Knowledge of NGSS standards and best educational practices
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
