About the Role
Metropolitan Social Services seeks a bilingual Assistant for our Housing First initiative helping individuals experiencing homelessness. You’ll coordinate resources, document client progress, and facilitate access to social programs. This community-facing role requires compassion while navigating complex social support systems.
Responsibilities
- Intake screening and assessment
- Coordinate referrals to partner agencies
- Maintain confidential client case notes
- Accompany clients to appointments
- Organize community outreach events
- Assist with benefit applications
- Distribute essential supplies inventory
Requirements
- Associate’s in Social Work (or relevant experience)
- Bilingual Spanish/English required
- Proficiency in case management software
- Valid driver’s license and clean record
- Personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
- Training in de-escalation techniques
- Lived experience with housing insecurity (preferred)
