About the Role
General Hospital in Boston is seeking an experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join our critical care team. You will provide advanced nursing care, mentor junior staff, and play a key role in improving patient outcomes in a high-acuity environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients
- Assess patient conditions and develop care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Supervise and mentor RNs and nursing assistants
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and care
Requirements
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- 3+ years of acute care experience, ICU experience highly desirable
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to evidence-based practice
