About the Role
Advance quantum algorithm development on state-of-the-art hardware. Focus on optimizing near-term applications for pharmaceutical discovery and materials science. Conduct peer-reviewed research while collaborating with industry partners to solve practical problems through quantum advantage.
Responsibilities
- Develop quantum algorithms for chemistry simulations
- Implement error mitigation protocols
- Optimize quantum circuits for target hardware
- Collaborate with university research groups
- Publish novel approaches in leading journals
- Create quantum advantage benchmarking frameworks
Requirements
- PhD in Quantum Physics or Quantum Information
- Experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publications in quantum algorithms/error correction
- Understanding of quantum hardware constraints
- Proficiency in mathematical optimization
- Background in computational chemistry preferred
