About the Role
Join Memorial Health as a Patient Care Technician in our bustling Emergency Room. As a key member of our healthcare team, you’ll provide essential support to our nurses and physicians by completing critical patient care duties and coordinating with ancillary departments. This fast-paced role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Collect and record vital signs and patient condition changes
- Perform basic diagnostic tests and monitor equipment
- Assist in minor procedures and wound care
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
- Coordinate with ER staff to track patient flow
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Nursing Assistant certification required
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- 1+ years of hospital experience preferred
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication and documentation skills
