About the Role
Join our communication team as a Public Relations Specialist to develop and execute strategic PR campaigns, manage media relationships, and enhance our organization’s public image.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement PR strategies and campaigns
- Draft and distribute press releases, media alerts, and other materials
- Maintain and update media lists, and pitch story ideas to reporters and journalists
- Monitor media coverage and evaluate the effectiveness of PR campaigns
- Coordinate events, speeches, and other public-facing activities
- Serve as a liaison between our organization and the media
- Collaborate with marketing and other teams to align PR efforts with broader organizational goals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communication, Journalism, or a related field
- Proven experience in public relations, communications, or a similar role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong media relations skills and a solid understanding of current media trends
- Creativity, initiative, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated success in securing media coverage and generating buzz
