About the Role
Inspire young minds by teaching core academic subjects, fostering a love for learning, and promoting social and emotional development. Work in a supportive school environment, collaborating with parents and colleagues to enhance student success.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons in literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies.
- Assess student progress through observations, testing, and assignments.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student performance.
- Participate in school events and activities.
- Maintain a organized and functional classroom.
- Collaborate with special education teachers and support staff.
- Implement classroom management techniques to promote student behavior and discipline.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification in Texas
- Proficient in using educational technology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs
- Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices
- Passion for teaching and student success
