About the Role
Oversee all artistic aspects of the theater, ensuring high-quality productions and maintaining artistic integrity. Lead and develop the creative team.
Responsibilities
- Select and produce a diverse season of performances
- Provide artistic vision and direction for all productions
- Cast actors and work with directors to bring plays to life
- Manage the artistic budget and allocate resources effectively
- Collaborate with the development team on fundraising efforts
- Serve as the public face of the theater in media interactions
- Oversee audition processes and maintain high casting standards
- Mentor and develop the creative staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Theater, Arts, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role in theater production
- Strong artistic vision and creative direction
- Proven track record of successful productions
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience with budgets and financial management
- Knowledge of fundraising and development strategies
- Ability to work with a diverse team of artists
