About the Role
Join Brookside Elementary as a Teacher’s Aide to support classroom instruction and student development. You’ll assist lead teachers with daily activities, provide individualized attention to students, and help maintain an inclusive learning environment. This role impacts young learners during critical developmental stages.
Responsibilities
- Assist with lesson preparation and classroom setup
- Provide one-on-one support to students needing additional help
- Supervise students during lunch, recess, and transitions
- Support implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assist with grading assignments and record keeping
- Help maintain classroom organization and educational materials
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to pass background check
- Basic understanding of child development
- Patience and strong communication skills
- Willingness to complete CPR/First Aid training
