Support Austin Public Library’s literacy initiatives through patron assistance and resource management at the Central Branch. You’ll handle book circulation, program coordination, and technology guidance in a community-focused environment. Perfect entry point to public service careers.
Responsibilities
- Check materials in/out via ILS
- Assist patrons locating resources
- Shelve materials accurately
- Promote library programs/events
- Provide basic tech support
- Process new materials
- Monitor study room usage
- Assist disabled patrons
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Customer service experience
- Familiarity with library systems
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of Library of Congress classification
- Fluency in Spanish valued
