About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Sous Chef to work alongside our Executive Chef in managing our upscale restaurant kitchen. In this leadership role, you’ll assist with menu development, kitchen operations, and staff management while maintaining our high culinary standards. Responsibilities
- Assist Executive Chef with all kitchen operations
- Help develop seasonal menus and specials
- Oversee food preparation and presentation quality
- Train and supervise kitchen staff
- Maintain inventory and order supplies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage kitchen in Executive Chef’s absence
- Contribute to cost control and budget management
Requirements
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years kitchen experience with 2+ years in leadership
- Expertise in multiple cooking techniques and cuisines
- Strong knowledge of food costing and inventory control
- Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays
- Food safety certification required
