About the Role
Seattle Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Elementary School Teacher to inspire young minds in a diverse and inclusive classroom setting. You will develop and deliver engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and collaborate with parents and staff to foster student success.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement standards-aligned lessons
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assess and monitor student progress using various tools
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development
- Attend staff meetings and school events
- Maintain accurate records and complete required reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Valid Washington state teaching certification
- Prior teaching experience preferred
- Strong classroom management skills
- Passion for teaching and commitment to student growth
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Familiarity with diverse instructional strategies
