About the Role
Perform electrical maintenance and repairs in industrial settings for Detroit Manufacturing Solutions. You’ll troubleshoot complex electrical issues, upgrade systems, and ensure OSHA/NEC compliance. This role supports our 24/5 production environment through preventative maintenance programs.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair industrial motor controls and PLC systems
- Install conduit runs and wiring for new equipment
- Perform scheduled electrical preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot 480V 3-phase distribution systems
- Maintain facility lighting and emergency power systems
- Document work orders in CMMS software
- Mentor apprentice electricians on safety protocols
Requirements
- Journeyman Electrician license (Michigan preferred)
- 5+ years industrial maintenance experience
- NFPA 70E certification
- Proficiency in reading complex electrical schematics
- Experience with VFDs, MCCs, transformers, and switchgear
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends
- Valid driver’s license with clean record
