About the Role
Experienced commercial electrician performing installations, maintenance, and repairs for new construction. Work alongside master electricians training apprentices in Chicago’s growing commercial sector.
Responsibilities
- Install electrical systems per NEC standards
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in commercial settings
- Read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Mentor apprentice electricians
- Maintain tools and PPE
- Document work for inspections and permits
- Adhere to safety regulations and hazard avoidance
Requirements
- Journeyman license (Illinois)
- 5 years commercial electrical experience
- OSHA 30 certification
- Own transportation and basic hand tools
- Ability to work at heights and confined spaces
- Reliable attendance record
- No fear of heights, cats, or small spaces
