About the Role
Join Bright Horizons Academy as a Special Education Teacher, supporting K-5 students with diverse learning needs. You’ll develop IEPs, collaborate with staff, and create inclusive learning environments. This role directly impacts students’ academic and social growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum for diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and specialists
- Monitor and report student progress
- Lead small group and one-on-one instruction
- Maintain communication with parents/guardians
- Participate in school-wide professional development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education
- State teaching certification
- 2+ years experience in elementary special education
- Knowledge of IEP development
- Strong classroom management skills
- Experience with assistive technologies
- Clear background check
