About the Role
Denver Public Schools seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work with K-5 students. You’ll develop IEPs, adapt curriculum, and collaborate with general education teachers to support student success. Make a difference in children’s lives through specialized instruction.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IEPs
- Adapt general education curriculum
- Assess student progress
- Collaborate with staff/parents
- Maintain special education records
- Manage classroom behavior
- Attend IEP meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education
- Colorado SPED certification
- 2+ years SPED experience
- Knowledge of IEP process
- Strong classroom management
- Patience and compassion
