About the Role
Enter our 4-year registered apprenticeship program to become a skilled journeyman electrician in commercial construction. Participate in on-the-job training, classroom lessons, and IBEW local 44 union activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians in wiring commercial buildings following NEC code requirements
- Gain hands-on experience with electrical testing/measurement instruments (DMM, megohmmeter)
- Collaborate with general contractors/engineering teams during installations
- Participate in safety meetings and hazard prevention protocols
- Maintain tools and equipment to professional standards
- Follow apprenticeship coursework through National Electrical Industry Training (NETI) programs
- Work flexibly on weekends and after-hours as project demands
- Document timecards, material requests and safety compliance for daily reports
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Completed pre-apprenticeship training program (Electrical Training Alliance) or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license; reliable transportation
- Able to pass background check and drug screening
- Good physical condition, able to lift 50 lbs
- Basic math proficiency (algebra, trigonometry)
- Demonstrated interest in electrical engineering/careers
