Job Description
About the Role
We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Cashier to join our team. In this role, you’ll handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all our customers.
Responsibilities
- Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments accurately
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and other cash handling equipment
- Bag groceries and assist with other facing tasks as needed
- Answer customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Follow established procedures to balance cash drawers and close shift
- Maintain a clean and well-organized sales area
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cashier or retail experience (preferred, but not required)
- Strong communication and math skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Reliable and punctual
